The Greatest Commandment

Reflection

Love is the foundation of faith.

In this verse, Jesus reminds us of the foundation of the Christian life: to love God wholeheartedly and to love others sincerely. Loving God with all our passion, prayer, and intelligence means giving Him every part of who we are—our hearts, our minds, and our daily lives. This kind of love is not merely an emotion but a commitment to seek Him, trust Him, and honor Him in all that we do.
