Reflection

Romans 12:12 reminds us that difficult seasons are not a reason to give up, but an invitation to draw closer to God. Hard times have a way of exposing where we have been placing our hope and what we have been depending on for strength. Paul encourages us to remain hopeful even when our circumstances give us plenty of reasons to become discouraged. Being patient does not mean pretending that everything is okay; it means trusting God while we wait for Him to work.
