“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Reflection
Victory does not always look like an immediate breakthrough or a problem disappearing the moment we pray. Sometimes it means finding the courage to keep believing when disappointment surrounds us, or choosing faith when fear seems easier. In this verse, Paul directs our gratitude toward God, recognizing that the ultimate source of our triumph is Jesus Christ. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, sin and death do not have the final authority over our lives, and we have a reason to face even our hardest battles with confidence.
