“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Reflection
Joshua 1:9 reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision to move forward while trusting that God is with us. When Joshua received his calling to lead the Israelites, he faced an enormous responsibility filled with uncertainty, obstacles, and challenges that required more than human strength. God’s command to be strong and courageous was rooted in the assurance that Joshua would not have to fulfill his mission alone. In the same way, we can face unfamiliar circumstances, difficult decisions, and unexpected changes with confidence because the Lord remains faithful to those who trust in Him.
